Question of the week
If you could read a book for the “first time” again, which book would it be? Why?
I would have to say Twilight. I absolutely loved it the first time I read it. I gave it to my friends and my mom. I just loved it. It was the first paranormal book I had ever read and it introduced me to the awesome world that it is. I remember reading it after midterms and not leaving my room except for necessities and to go purchase the next book. I think all I ate was chips haha.
People can hate on it all they want but, it is by far one of my favorite series and will always have a special place in my heart.
Nice choice, this was my first vampire novel when it came out :)
ReplyDeleteMy Twilight books have gathered a pile of dust on them, I'd love to re-read them again if I didn't know what was going to happen. Great post.

I remember the first time I read this book!! I liked it a lot. At the time I hadn't read anything like it. It was really one of the first young adult books I had read in a long time. So great!!

I can see this one being a popular pick for some. I never got why it was so popular as I am not a huge fan of it, but it got people reading and so that is a good thing. :) New follower via bloglovin. :)

This and Harry Potter would be the popular choice today. I haven't even read either series. I know, shameful :)
ReplyDeleteGood pick! Happy Friday!

I loved this book when I first read it as well! Unfortunately, the movies ruin it a little for me, but I still enjoyed it and it was probably the first paranormal book I have read as well!

I'm not a fan of Twilight, but I definitely understand the draw of the first book that introduced you to a new genre. The Southern Vampire Mysteries hold that place in my heart with paranormal. Happy Friday!

My first FF!
Nice choice, it would be amazing to be able to go back and read our favourite books for the first time again. My F&F Friday.
ReplyDeleteTwilight was my introduction to that genre as well. I refused to read anything that couldn't happen in real life before that and a friend from work made me read it but taped a piece of paper over the synopsis so that I wouldn't know what it was about. Of course it was way before the movies and all the hype so I had no idea what it was about. Now I'll read just about anything.

This was also my choice! I guess we have a lot in common. It will always have a special place for me, it opened my eyes to it's world and I don't want to go back to not knowing. I refused to read it for so long cause I don't like being into what other people are into, but I finally gave in and I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI'm following you through GFC & Blog Lovin. I'm loving your blog =)
