The Book!

Title: The Wild Wood
Author: Jule Anne Nelson

Goodreads Summary
In the town of Dunlowe, being different can be deadly. No one knows this better than the seven girls born on the exact same day, at the exact same time. From birth, they've been feared, judged, and controlled. And yet, still loved by their families. Still hoping for a future. Still believing that acceptance would one day come. As their seventeenth birthday approaches, events occur that leave Cecily Daye and the other girls grasping with the possibility that their oppressors might have been right about them all along. Maybe they are as evil as the town has believed. But without an answer, they must make a choice when the town turns on them: to die or to run to the one place no person would follow—they must enter The Wild Wood.

My Review
The Wild Wood introduces you to a new world. A world that is very different then anything I have read before. It is truly unique in it's story that took my by surprise from beginning to end.  Cecily is one of The Sevens. A group of girls all born on the same day in the same town. The town's people, mostly their religious leader, believe them to be evil. Especially as their seventeenth birthdays are approaching. Apart from the way they came into the world Cecily appears to be a normal girl. She goes to school, has a boyfriend, and a family that loves her. Unfortunately for Cecily her boyfriend is the pastors son. That in itself leads to a lot of issues. Life for Cecily has not been easy. To me it feels like she is shunned by most people other then her family. Cecily beleives she is good but, everyone once in a while after certain events she feels like maybe there is an inner evil. The biggest one being the voices Cecily hears when she is close to the Wild Woods.

The seven girls are not allowed to talk, look at each other, or be alone together. There are some pretty harsh punishments in this community. The community is surrounded by forests. One being the normal kind of forest and the other being full of creatures. Creatures that will terrify you. People who wonder in don't, wander back out. After some insane events lead to the Sevens banning together and have two choices: die or flee to the Wild Woods. This is where things take a turn for the paranormal! The paranormal element was like none I have ever read and I loved it. I honestly had no idea what was going to happen or what the back story could possible be.

I loved the other characters. The other Sevens, Morgan, Stephanie, Abigail, Charity, Amanda and Millie had their places within the group. Each of them with their own special gifts. Cecily's brother was also one of my favorites. There were a few other paranormal characters that I really enjoyed but, I don't want to give anything away :)

This was a great book. I will be reading the next one in the series. It was a unique story that kept me hooked from beginning to end. I would recommend it to everyone!

Goodreads Summary:
More Four! Fans of the Divergent series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth will be thrilled by "The Transfer," the first of four new short stories told from Four’s perspective. Each brief story explores the world of the Divergent series through the eyes of the mysterious but charismatic Tobias Eaton, revealing previously unknown facets of his personality, backstory, and relationships.

Goodreads Summary:
Gabby Sullivan learns in college that some things are impossible to control, and whenever life has spun out of control bad things seem to happen. She promises herself that she’ll stay a safe distance from the top three culprits:

Sex
Love
Relationships

But some things are beyond control…

Gabby handles her mom’s death and brother’s sudden abandonment just about as well as anyone could at the age of twelve. Left feeling alone, she finishes high school, developing a bit of a wild streak, and lives like there’s no tomorrow. That is until an illness stops her in her tracks. Learning to control life around her becomes her comfort. With a visible scar that reminds her and the world that she beat the odds, it’s impossible for her to put everything behind her, no matter how hard she tries.

Right out of college she begins working at her family’s company and buries herself in the safety of the corporate world. No extra time, no life, no relationships. It’s safe to say she might be a little demanding and overly ambitious, but she’s got everything under control, just how she likes it.

Jason’s been trying to piece his life together after a personal tragedy, only it’s not working. He’s thrown himself into his work, but he’s only becoming angrier. He’ll never forgive himself and doesn’t expect anyone else to either.

When the back of his vehicle is clipped by an obnoxious limo driver he can’t wait to let the driver have it until he hears Gabby’s voice coming from inside the sedan. There’s something soothing about it, something familiar.

The moment she sees him, she knows her life will never be the same. But she doesn’t know why. He’s everything she said she never wanted. He’s cocky, arrogant, and infuriating. With his dazzling amber eyes, dark hair and chiseled features she can hardly remember where she’s going, let alone where she’s been and maybe that’s a good thing. She begins to let him show her what life could be, if she really lived it.

Neither wants their past to define their future, but sometimes destiny has something else in store. It’s only as their love grows and secrets are revealed that they realize a devastating connection from their past might actually tear them apart.

Goodreads Summary:
Fifteen year-old Megan Barnett and her single mom, Suze, have a special relationship-they are friends, close friends, who do almost everything together. "But come on, guys, she's my mother... Can I really tell her that while we're snuggled up on the sofa watching Spider Man Three, I'm secretly undressing James Franco with my eyes? Of course not..." The special bond takes a turn for the worse when Suze decides to start dating again. She hasn't had a man in her life since Megan's father left ten years ago. Enter two mysterious young men, Megan's new classmate, sinfully attractive bad boy, Guy Matson, and the dangerously handsome art dealer, Armando. Before long Megan and Suze both wind up in steamy relationships. But neither of the handsome pair is quite what he seems. In fact, one of them is Satan, with his sights set on a new bride. Megan has precious little time to figure out how to stop him. If she doesn't, either Megan or Suze are quite literally going to HELL. "Boyfriend From Hell" is the first book in the Falling Angels Saga from the author of the gruesomely hilarious, "Never Slow Dance With A Zombie."

Bookshelf Tour. Give us a tour of your bookshelf.

Sadly my bookshelf is still in a box from moving! I need a new book shelf and it's on our list of things to buy. My Kindle however is organized  I have different "folders/shelves" to keep them organized. Like my books to review, blog tour books, and just for fun. The rest are organized by author. So I try. When I get my bookshelf I like to organize by series and keep them in order. That't it though. I don't organize authors in alphabetical order or anything.

Title: White Hot Kiss
Author: Jennifer Armentrout
Release Date: March 2014
Series Number: 1

Goodreads Summary:
One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne…it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.

My Thoughts:
I have said this before but, I will read anything Jennifer Armentrout writes. I have loved all her books so far and can't wait for this one. A paranormal romance!! Woohoo! The author has an amazing way of writing that keeps you interested from page 1. Have you guys read anything by Jennifer Armentrout?

My post consists of my early review of the book and a giveaway at the end! Go get your copy today! Trust me this book is so worth it (Fangirling just a little)!

Synopsis
When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.

Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.

An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.

With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.

My Review:
Everything for Us is from Nash's point of view. Which was awesome. I loved getting to know him and his side of the story in regards to his family. I feel like I need to start of by saying that I love Cash. But Nash....wow. He is definitely a full blown manly man. He is a I need what I need and that's it. He gets what he wants from who he wants. His cockiness was my favorite quality. He is pretty much a hotty bad ass who has had a rough life and is kid of a broken person. He didn't have a normal life and was forced to grow up way to soon. and do things no kid should have too. We all know that Cash and Nash's family is not normal. Having Nash back is a big change for everyone. His dad is glad to see him. I think Cash is too even though he'd never admit it. It's been hard on Cash to be both brothers. To have Nash back is a thing of dreams. Will he be able to save his dad? Will he ever have a normal life?

Marissa changes so much in Everything for Us. I actually liked her! I know weird right. I didn't like her in the other books. Being kidnapped is enough to change anyone. Marissa is no longer the spoiler brat who does everything Daddy wants her to do. She is a young woman who is now realizing the horrible person she was before. She no longer is that way.  A lot of that change has to do with Nash too. He manages to call her out on her crap and open her eyes. Their relationship starts out as nothing more then both of them needing something from each other. Things quickly begin to change as Nash starts to realize he wants a life and Marissa just might be at the center of that. Marissa wants to have a life too. Her own. That includes an man that loves her and a career that doesn't end in her marrying a man with status. She ends up helping with Nash's dad's trial. She grew into an intelligent drive persona and I loved it! I wanted to high five her at the end!

The romance between Nash and Marissa is smoldering hot! There is so much sexual tension between them that it's like a bomb going off when their are together. Nash is so different in that department then Cash. Things got complicated at times but, they handled them as adults. Marissa was no long the winy girl. They were perfect for each other. We still get to see Cash and Olivia too, they are not absent. So no worries there.

I love this book. The ending was perfect even though I cried like a baby. I am sad to see the end of this series but, all good things come to an end right. Go out and get this one everyone!!

ARC Review of Stripped by H.M. Ward (18+ Review)

Goodreads Summary:
By New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling New Adult author H.M. Ward.

The V Card. Virgin. Most of us want to punch that sucker ASAP, and hide the fact until then, but not Cassie Hale. Three years ago she frickin' covered hers in glitter and laminated the thing, proudly telling me that she's waiting for the perfect guy.

So when I see her half naked, tangled together, rolling around on the floor with another stripper, I'm kind of shocked. Okay, that's an understatement. I'm enthralled. I have to know what cracked her picture perfect world and landed her here, and I hope it's something horrible-an event that broke her the way she broke me. Because, that's who Cassie Hale is--the woman who stole my heart and crushed it in her hand.

My Review:
Move over Sean and Peter. Here comes Jon Ferro. Stripped is by far my favorite novel in the Ferro series. I fell for Jon quickly. His story is a little different then his brothers. Minus of course the scandal and family issues he caused. After Jon accidentally runs into Cassie at Pete's bachelor party, he is shocked to find her as a stripper! I was shocked too especially after we learn more about them. A majority of this book is a flashback to when Jon met Cassie. Their relationship was amazing. Jon was truly changed by Cassie. She changed him more then he thought possible. Cassie was a shy girl who didn't want to have sex before marriage. Jon is basically a man whore who slept around....a lot. Jon is sent to a family members house in the middle of no where to "learn a lesson" and keep him out of the press. The relationship between these two is filled with sexual tension! Cassie starts to have second thoughts about her beliefs regarding sex and so does Jon. Will Cassie be able to tame the wild beast? Could a relationship survive after Cassie does the unthinkable?

I love that Sean and Pete were int his book. The Ferro family has quickly become one of my favorites. By the end of this one, Sydney and Avery are also there!! I am excited to see what happens with everyone in the same room! Unfortunately I will have to wait for the next book. We get a glimpse of the Ferros parents as well. Jon's Mom and Dad have a very weird relationship. I can kind of see why their kids are all a little screwed up. Also if you have read the Trystan Scott books, you will get to see him in Stripped. His scenes have made me super curious as to what the heck happened to him. Something big! I am dying for that next book too! I love how all of her stories are running into each other. All my favorite books are slowly becoming one story.

Jon and Cassie are really perfect for each other. They both changed each other simply by being there. Their relationship is so cute. I just loved it. Even years later, after their lives have been destroyed, they are still drawn to each other. A lot has happened since they were teenagers in love. They are not the same people anymore but, the feelings are still there. Through the roller coaster of their adult lives they have found each other again. Will love bloom for these two or are they destined to be miserable forever?

I was so sad when the book ended. I read it in a day. There were a lot of unresolved issues by the end of the book. So I was super excited when there was a note saying that Stripped #2 will be out at the end of the year!!! Woohooo happy dance! Start these books people!!!!!!!!!

Goodreads Summary:
Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.

Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it’s more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he’s been her best friend and confidant for the better part of the last few years … and is so off limits. It’s a good thing she’s leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome.

But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can’t seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt … and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the-eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro’s signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn’t know what to think. She’s torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn’t want and the man she can’t have. And she isn’t sure how she can live with herself either way.

Goodreads Summary:
Think high school sucks? Try being an empath who has to experience everyone else’s suckage on top of your own. (Literally.)

In the months since her family life imploded and her psychic gifts began to arise, Cady has struggled to figure out how she can fit into her normal life without going crazy from the constant presence of emotional energy. Her grades have tanked. Her best friend is afraid of her. And she begins to have doubts about why her boyfriend, Bryan, is really keeping her around. But a chance meeting with another gifted girl online opens up a whole new world of possibilities. Unfortunately, this new world comes at an awful price.

If you could only have ONE – one book – for the rest of your life. Don’t cheat…what would it be?
I would have to say my all time favorite is Twilight. I loved that book to death and read it so many times that my poor book is in bad shape. Question of the week
If you could only have ONE – one book – for the rest of your life. Don’t cheat…what would it be?
I would have to say my all time favorite is Twilight. I loved that book to death and read it so many times that my poor book is in bad shape. I know there are a lot of Twilight haters out there but, you can kiss it because I LOVED that series! I was obsessed, made midnight runs to Walmart to get the next book. LOVED IT!

Wishlist Wednesday #61

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly post put on by Dani at the Pen to Paper blog. Where you post a book you really really want to read or one that has been on your wishlist! If you've seen my to-read list on Goodreads then you know there are plenty that I could use. So I decided to use this feature every Wednesday.

Title: The Maze Runner
Author: James Dashner
Series Number: 1

Goodreads Summary:
The first book in the New York Times bestselling Maze Runner series—The Maze Runner is a modern classic, perfect for fans of The Hunger Games and Divergent.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.

Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every thirty days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.

Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.

Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

My Thoughts:
Ok I know its crazy that I haven't read this one yet. I have heard so many good things about this book. I want to read it before the movie comes out. Have any of you read it yet?
