Boundless by Cynthia Hand

Goodreads Summary:
The past few years have held more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to live a normal life.

Since discovering the special role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seems like the best option, so she’s headed back to California - and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.

As Clara makes her way in a world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.

In the riveting finale of the Unearthly series, Clara must decide her fate once and for all.

My Review:
I have really enjoyed this series so far. I am sad to see it end. Clara was still pretty amazing. She is a strong independent woman who tries to do the right thing for her loved ones. Even though it may not always feel like the right thing to do for her. She goes through a lot. Her purpose seems like an ongoing thing. Like it's not one single vision. The visions she sees help her but, there isn't one sole purpose. Jeffery is also trying to figure out his life and get things in order. His life takes a turn down a dark road and Clara is worried she will lose him. He is kind of lost since his mom died.

There are some crazy twists that I didn't see coming. Seriously you will be shocked! The story keeps the reader engaged. Web is probably my new favorite character, you will see why. All of my other favorite characters make an appearance too. People like Clara's Dad, Tucker, Angela, Jeffery, Wendy, and Christian. They are all intertwined it seems. To me their purpose appears to be each other. Clara embarks on a crazy adventure to rescue Angela after some pretty intense events. Her friendship and faith stay true throughout. We get to find out who Christian's Dad is and I am pretty shocked. Especially by who his sister is! Will Clara ever truly be happy? Will she have a family? Will she end up with Tucker or Christian??

I always kind of had a soft spot for Christian. I felt bad for him because I felt like he would do anything for her. Life or death kind of stuff but, Clara was in love with Tucker. I liked Tucker, don't get me wrong, but I really liked Christian. The way the love triangle is "resolved" made sense I'm just not sure I really liked how it went. They were both great guys who loved Clara. It came down to who she loved more. So I am on the fence about that. The epilogue however, was great! I always like to see what happens in the future when the books ends. And which guy has a ring on his finger? I will never tell!!

I am sad to see this series end but, I really did love it. They were well written and I never felt like the different components of the story went together so well. Great series. I would highly recommend it!
