Untraceable (The Nature of Grace #1) by S.R. Johannes

Goodreads Summary:

16-year-old Grace has lived in the Smokies all her life, patrolling with her forest ranger father who taught her about wildlife, tracking, and wilderness survival.

When her dad goes missing on a routine patrol, Grace refuses to believe he’s dead and fights the town authorities, tribal officials, and nature to find him.

One day, while out tracking clues, Grace is rescued from danger by Mo, a hot guy with an intoxicating accent and a secret. As her feelings between him and her ex-boyfriend get muddled, Grace travels deep into the wilderness to escape and find her father.

Along the way, Grace learns terrible secrets that sever relationships and lives. Soon she’s enmeshed in a web of conspiracy, deception, and murder. And it’s going to take a lot more than a compass and a motorcycle (named Lucifer) for this kick-butting heroine to save everything she loves.

My Review:
Untraceable was a different kind of book then I usually read. However, I really liked it! It kept me on my toes till the last page. I figured there was something fishy going on as I was reading but, I never expected it to go so deep! S.R. Johannes does an amazing job of not giving anything away until she wants to. It was nice to not be able to figure out what was going to happen at the middle of the book. Grace is an amazing female lead. She is so strong and independent. She was fearless and willing to try when no body else would. She put her life on the line looking for her Dad. Her relationship with her Mom is also kind of tense. Loosing your Dad can make everyone kind of crazy and make your relationships hard when your grieving. What Grace doesn't realize is digging into things can get you in trouble. Seeking answers can have deadly consequences.

In the beginning it was hard for me to pick between Wyn and Mo. They were both nice guys who seemed to care about Grace. Mo had the mysterious thing going for him. I always had a suspicious feeling about him though. Wyn was comfortable, which can be good or bad. Darn those ex's! By the end of the book I was full blown team Mo. I mean come on he has an accent. It really doesn't take much more then that!!

I really enjoyed this read and am excited to get to read Uncontrollable! After the crazy ending of this book I can't wait to see what's going to happen next!
