My Review:
"Everyone searches for that moment when Something Wonderful turns into Something Forever. This story has captured my heart and will remain their for many days to come."

I read this book in one night. A matter of hours and I read the whole thing. I was immediately sucked back into the world of Jenna, Max, Matthew and Becky. We are left at the end of Something Wonderful with Jenna taking a pregnancy test and Something Forever starts off right at that point. These characters have come a lot way. Some from broken pasts that left them broken people. They have grown to compliment each other. Jenna and Max are engaged and ready to start a life together. There is something that Jenna needs to tell Max. Something that will change their lives forever. Will they be able to work though this? Matthew and Becky are very much in love and lust. Their relationship is new and wonderful. They are still getting to know each other and like what they have found so far. Then a terrible secret comes to light and threatens to tear them apart. Will they be able to forget the past or will it ruin them?

All four of these guys have grown and changed so much since we first met them. Jenna has grown into an outgoing and fun woman. A lot of thanks goes to Max for that. He has truley opened her eyes to life and become the man she can't wait to spend the rest of her life with. Max is ready to settle down and live a life with Jenna. With a future full of children. This is a sore topic for Jenna because she is worried she won't be able to have kids because of all the trouble her mom had. For these two it is important to remember that life will throw you curve balls but, when you truly love another you will work around them. Oh and lets not forget about the super hot moments that these two share! Wow!

Matthew and Becky have broken pasts. They have both lost people they loved. Now they found each other. They are like two teenagers who are in love and can't keep their hands off each other. Seriously, hot stuff! Sooner or later something is bound to happen to ruin your happiness right? When Becky and Matthew uncover a coincidence that leads to some seriously tense moments. Moments that threaten their end their relationship forever. So what do you do when you have a blow up? Go away on business. Becky's loved ones know something is wrong but, they do not to the extent of the problem. Becky has a medical condition. One that could become life threatening. She knows she should talk to someone, especially Matthew. Will these two be able to reconcile or will their past haunt them forever?

I loved these characters and I am so excited their will be a spin off series! These characters are near and dear to my heart and I will keep these stories with me for a while. I laughed, cried, and worried my way thought this one. So many circumstances that hit close to home for me. It is a must read guys!!!

BLOG TOUR!! Sugar on the Edge by Sawyer Bennett!

SUGAR ON THE EDGE

By USA Today Best-selling Author Sawyer Bennett

Last Call, #3
Adult Contemporary Romance

Released July 28, 2014

He’s utterly alone…

Tortured and existing in a dark spiral of despair, bestselling British author, Gavin Cooke, has come to the Outer Banks of North Carolina to escape the seedy lifestyle he had been living in London and in a desperate attempt to regain his writing focus. He’s twisted, bitter and angry at the world. He’s a loner… needing not a single thing other than his Scotch and a laptop upon which he can bang out his next erotic, dark thriller.

She’s running in place and getting nowhere…

Savannah Shepherd’s life is falling apart. Her dream of being a wildlife photographer seems a distant memory and she’s barely able to make ends meet. Driving herself forward with no clear goals apparent, she’s about ready to pack up her bags and head home with her tail between her legs.

Two unlikely lovers…

He’s raw, forceful and a dirty talker. She’s a flowers and romance type of girl. Yet within each other, they find a mutual craving that can only be satisfied by giving in to their desires for one another.

Lust turns into something more… something they were not looking for but tentatively accept. Will it be enough to push them past the obstacles of Gavin’s bitter past?

*SUGAR ON THE EDGE can be read as a stand-alone*

My Review
Prepare yourself people because Gavin Cooke's story is probably my favorite yet! He is an author of some pretty naughty books. He is having a hard time writing so he moves to the states and hopes there are less distractions. Gavin is a crude and angry man. He has had some serious hardships in his life. Things that changed him into the hard and cold person he is now. Upon buying his new house he realizes he will need a housekeeper so he can focus on writing. Luckily his Realtor knows just the right person.

Savannah cleans homes for extra money. Her photography career isn't exactly enough. When her friend approaches her about an opportunity to clean another home she takes it on. Although it is difficult given her current schedules. Savannah could never prepare herself for Gavin. He answers the door practically nude and is rude. She pretty much tells him to find someone else but, he wants her.  So she goes to his house, makes him supper, and cleans a few times a week. Gavin is still cold and rude but, there is something about him. Something about his dominance that pushes all the right buttons for Savannah. Can she crack this mans shell or will he be the death of her?

The romance between these to is smoldering! It starts out one sided and warm. Savannah really likes Gavin but, is it anything other then lust? They both are overcome with lust on numerous occasions but, to Gavin it is nothing more. Ever since his previous relationship he has turned off that caring part of him. Women are a means to an end. But when he starts to feel himself changing and he opens up to Saannah he knows something is changing. Could he possibly be the man she needs?

This book was such a fun read! So many emotions. I couldn't put it down. Bennett has a way of writing a complete jerk but, still make him likable. To see all the changes between Savannah and Gavin unfold was amazing. I highly recommend this one. It is my favorite in the Last Call series.

She’s my game changer.

He’s trouble from the moment I see him. I don’t know what I’m thinking, but from the moment I meet his gaze, I’m his. It’s a scary feeling.

I’ve never trusted anyone outside my aunt and uncle—and even that took months. I didn’t have it easy growing up. My mom was usually strung out, and she didn’t give me a second thought. Drugs and the men who paid her were more important to her. It was horrible, but I’m stronger today. Because of my past, security is what I need most. Money assures me that I can take care of myself today, tomorrow, and next month. I don’t want to ever be hungry or go without again, so I work hard for every penny.

Oh, by the way, I’m Claire Anderson. I’m a hard-studying sophomore at the University of Bellevue, dancer for the school dance team, and a burlesque dancer at a club, but that’s my secret.

Question of the Week
What book/series do you think would make a better TV show than a movie?

Anything that is written in Novella form!! They are so short that I think they would be prefect for TV episodes. In particular The Arrangement series by H.M. Ward. There are 16 volumes so far and I think that would be perfect. I also think that Vampire Academy and The Bloodlines series by Richelle Mead would be a fun TV show! What do you guys think!?

MUSIC MONDAY

Trouble indeed, but it didn’t matter. He’s pushing and pulling me straight to him, and I am sure he isn’t going to let me go. Not that I want to. There is something about him that has me completely and utterly drawn to him, no pulling needed. While I want to sleep with him, I also want to know him. Really, I have no clue what I want. I just want Jude. All of him and I’m glad he turned down my offer to go to bed. While I want it, I don’t think I would have gone through it, but then with the way he’s looking at me, his hooded green eyes flaring with lust, I’m thinking that previous statement was a total lie.

I damn well want him more than my next breath.

My choice is All of Me by John Legend.

ARC Review of Storm Siren by Mary Weber

Goodreads Summary:
“I raise my chin as the buyers stare. Yes. Look. You don’t want me. Because, eventually, accidentally, I will destroy you.”

In a world at war, a slave girl’s lethal curse could become one kingdom’s weapon of salvation. If the curse—and the girl—can be controlled.

As a slave in the war-weary kingdom of Faelen, seventeen-year-old Nym isn’t merely devoid of rights, her Elemental kind are only born male and always killed at birth — meaning, she shouldn’t even exist.

Standing on the auction block beneath smoke-drenched mountains, Nym faces her fifteenth sell. But when her hood is removed and her storm-summoning killing curse revealed, Nym is snatched up by a court advisor and given a choice: be trained as the weapon Faelen needs to win the war, or be killed.

Choosing the former, Nym is unleashed into a world of politics, bizarre parties, and rumors of an evil more sinister than she’s being prepared to fight . . . not to mention the handsome trainer whose dark secrets lie behind a mysterious ability to calm every lightning strike she summons.

But what if she doesn’t want to be the weapon they’ve all been waiting for?

Set in a beautifully eclectic world of suspicion, super abilities, and monsters, Storm Siren is a story of power. And whoever controls that power will win.

My Review:
Nym has had a very hard life. Bought and sold as a slave with no rights. She is not normal, she is cursed. She is an Elemental and the only female Elemental ever. According to the current laws she shouldn't even be allowed to live. When she is being auctioned off by her latest owner something happens. Her hood is removed and everyone instantly knows what she is. Ciaos ensues and Nym's dangerous abilities are unleashed. She wakes up in a strange place in a bed that isn't hers. Nym's life is about to change. She is taken by the court adviser who wants to use her as weapon to win the war or she will be killed. Nym's life now is like none she has ever lived. She has to go to parties and train with a bald boy named Colin who has powers of his own. Will Nym be able to kill the enemy? Can she choose to use her gift who has killed before by accident or is she destined to die?

Nym is in a strange new world. Breck is the blind servant girl who is suppose to keep an eye on her and help her adjust. She is pretty spunky and I loved her. Colin is Breck's brother and has the power to manipulate the ground. During the day Colin and Nym are forced to train, to use their gifts to kill the enemy. This is hard for Nym as she has accidentally killed people, including her parents. So using her power around Colin and their trainer Eogan is hard for her. She doesn't want to hurt the people she has grown to care about. Especially Eogan. She is drawn to him and his mysterious way of calming her when he touches her. Will she be the weapon she is training to be?

Eogan is kind of a love interest of Nym. Nothing crazy intimate happens but, they are definitely drawn to each other. Eogan has been keeping a very big secret from everyone though. One that will change everything. After an attack on Faelen, it is time for Nym to go to war. This is a prime example that in war people die. People you love. Both sides experience significant lose. Especially when one side has an advantage over the other. This horrible monster the Bron's have on their side tips the tables. Not everyone will survive this war...

This book kept me on the edge of my seat right up until the last sentence. I never saw the end coming! The world building was great. It took me a bit to figure out what everything was that was being talked about. I am really hoping there will be a book 2! Get this one when it comes out people!

ARC Review of Visions by Kelley Armstrong

Goodreads Summary:
As #1 New York Times bestselling author Kelley Armstrong’s new Cainsville series continues, Olivia’s power to read omens leads to the discovery of a gruesome crime with troubling connections to her new hometown.

Omens, the first installment in Kelley Armstrong’s exciting new series, introduced Olivia Taylor-Jones, daughter of notorious serial killers, and Gabriel Walsh, the self-serving, morally ambiguous lawyer who became her unlikely ally. Together, they chased down a devious killer and partially cleared her parents of their horrifying crimes.

Their success, however, is short-lived. While Olivia takes refuge in the old, secluded town of Cainsville, Gabriel’s past mistakes have come to light, creating a rift between the pair just when she needs his help the most.

Olivia finds a dead woman in her car, dressed to look like her, but the body vanishes before anyone else sees it. Olivia’s convinced it’s another omen, a sign of impending danger. But then she learns that a troubled young woman went missing just days ago—the same woman Olivia found dead in her car. Someone has gone to great lengths to kill and leave this young woman as a warning. But why? And what role has her new home played in this disturbing murder?

Olivia’s effort to uncover the truth places her in the crosshairs of old and powerful forces, forces that have their own agenda, and closely guarded secrets they don’t want revealed.

My Review:
Olivia has traveled a long rough road to get to where she is. She is still living in Cainsville and still seeing Omens. With the help of Gabriel her parents are cleared of one of the murders they were put in jail for. However, things are only good for a while. Olivia finds a body in her car that is dressed to look just like her. By the time Gabriel gets there the body has vanished. Leaving Olivia feeling like she is losing it. Not only that but, Gabriel has been keeping secrets from Olivia and when she finds out the crap hits the fan for them. There were times I just wanted to shake Gabriel and tell him to wake up! To feel something! The way he acts sometimes...he has the emotional capacity of a wet mop. The body is only the first in a string of events and dead things that gets Olivia closer to some answers. What is going on with Cainsville and are her and Gabriel at the center of it?

After Gabriel's betrayal Olivia is pretty lonely. What do you do when your lonely? Get together with a young hot biker boy! Yes, we get some serious action between Olivia and Ricky!! I was so excited that she finally gets some fun after that butt ex-fiancee of hers! I still have the hope that Olivia will end up with Gabriel but, seriously he needs to lighten up! Be a little less shady and realize he has feelings for Olivia! Needless to say, I am glad that Olivia had a short time to relax, get some, and have fun with motorcycles.

There is a lot going on in this book. I love the little chapters from the towns people of Cainsville and Gabriel. There were times I was angry and times I was scared. Yes, I said scared. The chapters in the abandoned buildings where they were trying to find a young girl freaked me the heck out! There were times I was happy to. It was awesome to see that Olivia and Gabriel had a friendly relationship. Like actual friends. Not employer and employee. They both start to realize something is off about Cainsville and the people there. That they are both somehow connected to the town and yes the truth is revealed! It was sooo not what I expected either but, I am excited to see where the story will go from here!

I love these characters and now that we know what's going on, kind of, in Cainsville. Things are bound to get even more crazy. I can't wait for the next book! I have all these theories that I am hoping will be right!

Title: The Infinite Sea
Author: Rick Yancey
Series Number: 2
Release Date: September 16, 2014

Goodreads Summary:
The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as “wildly entertaining.”

How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.

Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

My Thoughts:
Yay, the sequel is finally here! I am excited for this one. It was such a unique story!

It was the reason she had to write one-Something Great. Why the pen name, M Clarke? She tours with Magic Johnson Foundation to promote literacy and her children’s chapter book-No Bullies Allowed.
