Wishlist Wednesday #38

Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly post put on by Dani at the Pen to Paper blog. Where you post a book you really really want to read or one that has been on your wishlist! If you've seen my to-read list on Goodreads then you know there are plenty that I could use. So I decided to use this feature every Wednesday.

Title: The Bane
Author: Keary Taylor
Release Date: March 5, 2013
Series Number: 1

Goodreads Summary:

Before the Evolution there was TorBane: technology that infused human DNA with cybernetic matter. It had the ability to grow new organs and limbs, to heal the world. Until it evolved out of control and spread like the common cold. The machine took over, the soul vanished, and the Bane were born. The Bane won't stop until every last person has been infected. With less than two percent of the human population left, mankind is on the brink of extinction.

Eve knows the stories of the Evolution, the time before she wandered into the colony of Eden, unable to recall anything but her name. But she doesn't need memories to know this world is her reality. This is a world that is quickly losing its humanity, one Bane at a time.

Fighting to keep one of the last remaining human colonies all live, Eve finds herself torn between her dedication to the colony, and the discovery of love. There is Avian and West – one a soldier, one a keeper of secrets. And in the end, Eve will make a choice that will change the future of mankind.

The Bane is The Terminator meets The Walking Dead with a heart-twisting romance.

Previously published as Eden, due to reader demand it has been revamped and re-released as The Bane: book one in The Eden Trilogy.

My Thoughts:
I have heard a lot about this book and have seen it on a few other blogs. I read the summary and I really like the sound of it! I guess it is a re-release which is interesting. I had not heard of it previously. Have any of you read it? What are your thoughts??

  2. Hadn't heard of it before. Funny, as I was reading the synopsis, I thought immediately of The Terminator... which the synopsis then mentioned a few paragraphs later! I'd love to hear what you think of it -- hope you get a copy soon!

  8. Haven't heard of this book before, but I'm interested in it. Even though I don't read much science-fiction, I have become a fan of dystopia.
