Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades #2) by E.L. James

This is not a YA book it is for adults! Please do not read this review if you are not an adult!

Goodreads Summary:
Daunted by the singular sexual tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house.

But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades.

While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.

My Review:
I have been unable to set my Kindle down with this series. I am absolutely intrigued by all the things going on in the second book. It picks up right where book 1 left off, with Christian giving Ana another option for their relationship. I felt more comfortable with this book compared to the first. I think it is just because it is less in your face about all the DOM stuff. Ana’s feelings for Christian are intense and she really reflects on them in this book. It’s not all crazy sex all the time. However it does happen quite a lot. Some serious things happen and the mental health of more then one person is questioned. I liked brining in the therapist. We get to learn a little more about Christian’s twisted past. I guess that is why I felt better about him maybe.

Fifty Shades Darker had a few tense scenes. I don’t want to give away too much but, I was worried that some characters would not make it to the next book! Read and find out people!! The ending left me needing to read the next book. Ana gives Christian a birthday present he will never forget…well…two haha. I am so curious to know what will happen next with these characters that I must read Fifty Shades Freed. I honestly have no idea how things will turn out for Christian and Ana which is why I must find out!!
