Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. It is hosted by Tynga's Reviews. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Goodreads Summary:
Allie Sheridan’s world is falling apart. Her brother’s run away from home. Her parents ignore her. And she’s just been arrested.

Again.

This time her parents have had enough. They cut her off from her friends and send her away to boarding school, far from her London friends.

But at Cimmeria Academy, Allie is soon caught up in the strange activities of a secret group of elite students.

When she’s attacked late one night the incident sets off a chain of increasingly violent events. As the school begins to seem like a very dangerous place, she finds out that nothing at Cimmeria is what it seems to be.

And that she is not who she thought she was.

Goodreads Summary:
Most women don’t know the pleasure of total surrender.

You’ve fantasized about it. Maybe you’ve even tried. Asked for his hands to grip you a little tighter. If he could tie you up. Hold you down. But he always stops too soon.

He doesn’t mean it when he makes you beg for him, doesn’t push you to the limits of your pleasure and demand everything you have to give--and more.

You wonder, what would it be like with a man who truly commanded you? How sweet would the release be, giving yourself up completely?

No limits.
No boundaries.

His control.

Goodreads Summary:
In a world where vampires are made, not born....
She wanted life. He needed her blood.

Battling a terminal diagnosis, Cora Shaw will do anything to live, even seeking out a mysterious man who promises an impossible—and insanely dangerous—cure.

She knows him only as Mr. Thorne, a reclusive billionaire whose very touch fills her mind and body with reckless cravings. A man with strange, impossible powers over her, who can turn even the darkest pain into intense pleasure.

A man, she discovers, who is not a man at all, who wants far more of her than she has ever imagined giving. The bond that saves her seals her to this terrifying stranger. Cora doesn't know how to escape it—or even if she
wants to.

Goodreads Summary:
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself--and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

Goodreads Summary:

Or so she thought…

Confused, Ronnie realizes the only way to discover the truth is to trust her heart. 1. I read The Selection a few months ago. The actual writing wasn't the best but it's still a pretty good story. I liked the concept of the whole thing. Great list!
