My Review:
The Blessed Knights is definitely a wild ride. So much is happening in this installment. Eli has been taken by Cyrus and is not having a good time. The reunion of these two does not go well. While Eli is fighting for his life Lucia and the group are trying to find him. They can’t do it alone. Enter Michael!! I have missed my Michael. The gang is about to go through a rough time. Going up against evil is never easy. Relationships are evolving and a battle is on the horizon. Will they be able to overcome their obstacles?
One of the best things about this series is the relationships between characters. The way everyone cares about each other and would do anything for one another is simply beautiful.  They may not be related by blood but, they are definitely a family. I love the new characters introduced as well.
Eli and Lucia, forbidden love. I know these two technically shouldn’t/can’t be together. I want them to so bad! Like it or not they are perfect for each other. Their interactions are a little different in this book after what Cyrus does to Eli but, I still loved him! I have high hopes for these two to break the mold of what is ok.
The way this book is written you can really visualize what’s happening. It’s like a movie playing in your head while you read it. I mean how can you go wrong with Angels, Demons, Witches, Vampires and the Knights Templar?!? You will be on the edge of your seat dying to turn the page to see what happens next. I have been in love with this world and these characters since the Crossroads series. I can’t wait to see where their journey will take them next. If you haven’t read this series, you must go get it immediately!

Teaser of THE BLESSED KNIGHTS (The Angel Knights Book 3)
by Mary Ting:

Ikelia leaned back against the door and looked at her fingernails as if she was bored while the other hand stroked the dagger on her belt. “What do you want, Vince? Why bother to come? You know how this will go. You’ll try to capture me, but I’ll humiliate you by kicking you out. Run along to Cyrus and tell him you couldn’t find me, and maybe he won’t butcher you.”
Vince hissed and whipped out his sword, and in a flash he was in front of her. Pointing the tip on Ikelia’s neck, he said, “Don’t mock me, little witch.” He lowered his gaze and the sword. “No necklace this time? What a pity.” He clucked his tongue and raised his hand to show her the same sunburst necklace Eli had around his neck.
Ikelia shoved the sword out of the way and paced toward the broken glass. “You can keep it. It won’t protect you, and it certainly won’t harm me. Besides, you don’t know the spell. You weren’t worthy to have one passed down to you. What a shame. It’s quite useful when you know how to use one.”
After she walked in a complete circle, she bent down on her knees and placed her hands a few inches off the pile of shards. At her mumbled words, blue, red, gold, and green pieces lifted in the air and pressed together, forming a beautiful three-feet-tall vase I had seen earlier on top of a small wooden table. The item had glued itself back together.
“There.” Ikelia clapped her hands two times and strode toward the door. “Good as new.” She smirked. “It’s like you were never here. Your magic is no match for mine. You’re in my domain. Don’t forget that. And I believe you have something that is mine.” She wiggled her index finger. The sunburst necklace Vince held flew into her hands and coiled around her neck.
Vince’s eyes darkened. He trembled with rage, ready to pounce on her, but instead raised his arm toward the glass cases.
The top of one of the glass cases shattered outward, and glass splinters blasted in the air. From inside the case, a small dagger flew toward her as he threw the one from his belt.
I gasped, and then held the breath. Had she seen the second dagger coming for her? I twitched, ready to bolt to her rescue, even though I knew I shouldn’t, but Father pressed his hand on my shoulder, firm and strong. He knew me too well. I had failed Eli, and I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing for his mother. I had enough guilt as it was; I didn’t want to add more.
The first dagger stopped inches from the spot between her eyes, but the second one nicked her leg and dropped to the ground with a loud clang. Blood soaked the dark fabric, but she made no sound. I was pretty sure she didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of hurting her.
“Are you bleeding? Pity, I guess you can’t handle more than one at a time. You’ve been warned, but you can surrender anytime.”
Vince raised his hand again. Five daggers bolted from under his cloak fast as lightning. They jabbed her cape and pinned her against the wooden door, two daggers on each side and one between her legs, while some sort of darkness swirled around her. Magic light, only visible to supernatural beings.
“Well, well, well, what will Cyrus think of me now? I think he’ll butcher you instead of me. What do you think?” He took a step toward her with each word. Caressing her cheek, he spoke again. “It’s too bad we’re not on the same side, precious witch. Such a waste of a pretty thing. Now my eyes will be sore from missing your beautiful face. There aren’t many beautiful things that hold my attention in this world.”
“Shut up. Let me go,” Ikelia spat, wiggling herself to set free.
Vince pushed back. “Don’t even bother. Don’t you know about my special daggers? No magic can break my spell.”
Ikelia’s lips spread wide in a smug grin, like she had something up her sleeve, but she did nothing nor said nothing to break the daggers’ spell. “Don’t worry, Vince. You know I always have something handy, even if it isn’t on me.”
Vince whipped his head toward the wall, straight at us. Could he see us? Impossible. Father shielded us. Raising his chin, his nose twitched, like a dog sniffing the air. “I was right. You do have a human—not one, but two?” He beamed a mischievous grin. “Stay right there.” He didn’t look at her, but instead placed his palms flat against the wall just feet from where we looked through. “I feel so much energy coming through the wall. Perhaps someone or some beings are spying on us.”
I stiffened and held my breath as he tapped the wall. Ikelia watched with narrowed, daggered eyes.
“There’s nothing there, idiot. Touch the wall all you wish.” Ikelia scoffed.
“Release the wall, Ikelia, or I’ll hurt you more,” he threatened, eyes cold and unyielding.
Everyone inch of me begged her to do it, only because I had no idea what torture Vince would inflict on her. I already knew she wouldn’t die. Vince had said he was to take her to Cyrus, and I had watched her die when Eli and I astral walked to the day of her death. But then I thought of Jacques and Geoffroi. What took Vince so long to figure out humans were on the other side? Did they come out of the barrels? Oh please, let me be wrong.
When she didn’t answer, a smaller dagger flew out from the glass case and dug into Ikelia’s leg, the same spot she had been nicked earlier. Her body curled inward, but the restraints held her in place. Her face blanched and eyes rolled back, but she didn’t make a sound.
“Release the barrier, Ikelia,” Vince demanded, his tone harder and colder.
When she did nothing again, the dagger twisted, digging into her flesh. That time, she cried out. She must have released the shield unwillingly for Vince to curl his lips to his ears.
“That’s a good girl,” he cooed. “I think I’ll have fun with your pets.” He winked at her, and one of his feet slipped right through the wall.
I panicked. We had to help Jacques and Geoffroi. But before I could mutter a word, Ikelia closed her eyes, and then shot her eyes open toward the clock. The pendulum stopped ticking, frozen in place. As if the clock held the power of time and space inside the store, everything stilled, even Vince, who was almost through to the other side. One heel stuck out.

Goodreads Summary:
Above a small hill lay a home.
And green men peer out under the dome.
Thirteen crisscrossing arches behold,
with angels singing must be told.
Cubes like teeth thus showed,
pierce one and the door shall glow.
Part the sea like Moses,
to see the bundle of red roses.
Only then you shall see,
what is destined to be free.
But beware, if you are not the heir,
for damnation you shall declare,
for the false burden you shall bare.

But soon Sam discovers she is at the center of a centuries old curse affecting anyone with ties to the trials. "Amazing. Unique. Beautiful. Sexy. LEVI'S BLUE by M. Leighton is ALL THAT and MORE!" ~~ Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads
Levi’s Blue
Four beautiful days. Three steamy nights. One breathtaking love.
Levi Michaelson.
He wanted four dates. Four opportunities to prove I could trust him. Four chances to change my mind about him.
I agreed.
Probably not my smartest decision. He was everything I knew to avoid—gorgeous, charming, sexy as hell—but I couldn’t help myself. When he touched me the whole world disappeared. I should’ve known I could lose myself to him, that he could be the one man to destroy me.
I guess it’s true what they say—some things are too good to be true. And Levi Michaelson might just be one of them.

#LevisBlue #Unzipped #Sept19 #NewRelease #ComingSoon #MLeighton

My Review:
Get ready everyone because M. Leighton has done it again. Levi's Blue is s spectacular read. It will leave you with all the right feels! Evie used to have a normal life. Then one night her whole life was changed. She was hit by a car and nothing will be the same. She is an artist and at her art showing she meets a man. This man is Levi Mchaelson. Levis seems like a pretty normal guy. He works in shipping and came to Evie's rescue when she needed someone. Evie s very hesitant however, love has not went well for her in the past. She has issues since the accident that prohibit someone from getting to close. It usually ends in heartbreak for her so she has learned to guard herself to keep her heart safe. Levi is a suborn man and will not give up. He has found what he wants. Will Evie give in to Levi's wants?

Levi has known love and along with that tragedy. His past is not all rainbows and unicorns. The way he woo's Evie is, simply put, romantic. He requests 4 dates to sweep her off her feet. He learns enough about her to make some pretty spectacular dates for her. Unfortunately, there is always something looming under the surface. Jealous ex's and secrets. Secrets that will destroy more then just them. If Evie ever found out the kind of person Levi used to be she may not give him a chance. The budding relationship between these to is not insta love but, a slow burn. A smoldering that just gets hotter and hotter. They definitely fit in more way then one. The kid of trust that Evie has to have with Levi is insane. I can not imagine how hard that would be for someone.

Evie also has a great friend. A friend that is always there for her. Especially since the accident. Her family has disowned her and basically left her to fend for herself. I would hope we all have a friend like that.

This was a great book. I read it very quickly. I couldn't put it down. The relationship between Evie and Levi was so passionate. So real. You need to get get his book ASAP!

ARC Review of A Damaged Wedding by H.M. Ward

Goodreads Summery:
The wedding day finally arrives, but when the groom, Peter Ferro Granz, shows up in a torn tux and covered in blood, he calls it off. There's no explanation in his haunted eyes, and the beautiful man leaves without another word.

Sidney isn't about to walk away without a fight. She can recover from a damaged wedding, but a life without Peter is unthinkable. As she pieces together the events of the night before, it becomes clear an old enemy has it out for Peter, and if Sidney steps in the way it could destroy them both.

My Review:
First of all I must say that I love this cover. It is beautiful. Finally!! We get a Ferro Wedding!!! It went exactly as I expected it would and also completely different. You can't have a Ferro wedding without a little bit of drama and action. Constance still drives me crazy, 50,000 for a dress. Good lord! However the happily ever after does not last long. As Peter shows up covered in blood.  Something is seriously wrong and Peter is acting more like a Ferro. For Sidney, she isn't really scared. She knows that something bigger is going on and she wants answers. Now. Will Sidney and Peter be able to work together to salvage their relationship or are they destined to be apart?

I have always loved Peter and Sidney. They seemed different then the rest of the Ferro clan. Although something always happens to draw them back to the dark side. Unfortunately Sid is in the dark for a lot of it. Something Peter should have remedied right away. These Ferro men need to give their women more credit. They know what they are getting into. Trust and include them and you'd be surprised how willing they are to help the men they love. Sidney and Peter get a little romance but, they are pretty busy trying to save their lives in this one. I still loved the little stolen moments between them.

You never really know what you have until you lose it. I feel this is exactly the case for Sid and Peter. they have a lot of work to do if they want to have their dream wedding. Which by the way, is not what Peter's mom would like. But, Sidney's version is absolutely perfect. Go get this one guys!

ARC Review of The Arrangement Vol. 22

Goodreads Summary:
THE SERIES WITH OVER 12 MILLION COPIES SOLD
Volume 22 in the New York Times Bestselling Arrangement Series

Everything has come to this one moment, this one night. The plan is ready to be executed. The sexy, dark billionaire Sean Ferro is at my side and in my bed. As the erotic tension between us deepens, I see the man he could be—the man he’s becoming. Sean has me in every possible way and swears to protect me from my enemies.

But there’s one thing he can’t save, one thing that’s fracturing inside of me and falling apart. My heart is dying in my chest as my demons plague me without warning. The darkness is vanishing from Sean's eyes and reappearing in mine. The monster within is feeding, ready to rear its head as I wait in horror, disgusted with the woman I’m becoming.

If I go through with this, if I cause the deaths of these people, there will be nothing left of me. But if I don’t fight back, I die. I don’t want to fight anymore, but there’s a tiny reason urging me on, a secret I’ve known for a while giving me strength to see this through.

My Review:
Holy cow does stuff go down for real in this one! Volume 22 is packed full of action, suspense, and one hell of a surprise! The group has a plan. A plan to get out of the mess they are in and have the lives they are yearning for. This plan isn't without risk. There is serious danger in their way before they are home free. Avery has to put herself in the middle of the lions den and things do not go according to plan. I can't say I'm surprised. I don't think anything in Avery's life has went according to plan. They all seem to take one step forward and two steps back. Will everyone survive what is coming or will betrayal win in the end?

Avery and Sean. What is there left to say about these two. They are still perfect for each other in their own messed up ways. Despite everything that has happened they still find time to be together. Even if it is a fleeting kiss. Their lives are about to change. In more ways then when and I am not sure they are ready for it yet. That is if they survive there current predicament.

I am so excited about this series. Each and every installment just keeps getting better and better. The cliffhanger is so huge...I don't know how I am going to wait for the next one!! I hope it comes out quickly!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Goodreads Summary:
Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on July 30, 2016.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

My Review:
I have to start out by saying that I love Harry Potter. I was so excited to hear about this book. The play format it was written in actually didn't bother me at all. Which was very surprising. I was really worried it wouldn't read right. It read perfectly and I could still picture it in my head as if I was reading a book. We are 19 years in the future in the world of Harry Potter. His son is the main character of this one. Albus is struggling being the son of the famous Harry Potter. It is hard for him to make friends. He feels alone. He never asked for this legacy. His only friend comes in the most unlikely person. Scorpius Malfoy. These two are about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.

I loved this book. I know I am a fan but, seriously. I flew through it. We get to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione too. I didn't realize how much I missed that world until I got to join it once again. So much happens in this story. So many twists and turns and best of all...magic. Of course for the Potters things don't go according to plan. Albus and Scorpius are in trouble and need help. This means Draco Malfoy plays a huge role in this book. I was worried about this but, turns out I really enjoyed him. It was very interesting to see Harry and Draco interact. It added a lot to the story.

I may be biased but, I love that we got to back into the world of Harry Potter. I would have loved to see this live on stage. The book sucked me in and I couldn't put it down. Honestly I wish we would get more stories in this series. If you were on the fence about reading this then I hope my review pushes you into reading it. You will not be sorry.
