Goodreads Summary:
Genre: New Adult Romance Series
FML is becoming Avery's motto. Just when she doesn't think things could get any worse, they do. When her car stalls out at a busy intersection and she gets out to check under the hood, a guy steals her car. Armed with a dress and a pair of Chucks, Avery runs after the thief. When a hot stranger offers to help, she can't say no. That's how Avery meets Sean Ferro, the totally sexy, totally damaged guy with more secrets than she has time for.
Avery doesn't have time for anything anymore. Her is life falling apart and it's not just the car. It's everything, and it doesn't matter how tightly she tries to hold on, there's nothing left to hold on to. With the sudden death of her parents, it's only a matter of months until Avery's shot at college is gone, and she's living in a cardboard box. Other students have their families to rely on when things get bad. Avery has no one.
But there's one option, one incredibly sexy, morally devoid, option. If Avery takes a job as a call girl, one guy could save her. One client. One time. She just has to say yes.
My Review:
Yes ladies and gentleman she has done it again! If you are worried that The Arrangement is going to be to similar to the Secrets series then get that thought out of your head now. It starts out completely different taking a turn I didn't expect. Avery is a college student who lost her family and has been on her own for a while. She is on scholarship at school and is having a hard time keeping her GPA up while working in order to eat. Her grades start slipping because she has to work so much. She is sick of scraping by and is ready for a change. Her friend Mel offers her a chance to change her life. To work less hours and make far more money. But, can Avery compromise her morals and beliefs to do what Mel does? Being a call girl was something she never even considered. Until now.
During the beginning of the book we meet Sean. The gorgeous blue eyed night in shining armor. Well mystery man on a motorcycle says it better. When Avery gets car jacked..again..Sean is there to help her chase them down and get her car back. He keeps popping up in random moments and Avery can't get him off her mind. The new job opportunity makes everything change. Can they continue to see each other when things get complicated and secrets are revealed?? I don't know because it ended to soon!!!
The Arrangement started out with a bang and I can't wait to see whats going to happen in this story. It seems to me its going to be a naughty story! Which I like! So bring on the next one please!
A blog about books I have read and what I thought. I review a lot of YA as well as New Adult and Adult books. So just an FYI!!

ARC Review of Up to Me by M. Leighton
Goodreads Summary:
Happily ever after doesn't come easy. But for love, it’s always worth the fight.
Olivia finds bliss unlike any she’s ever known in Cash’s arms. He sets her skin on fire and melts her heart right inside her chest. Unfortunately, their happily ever after is short-lived when a shadow from Cash’s past threatens to turn their world upside down.
Dangerous people from his father’s world have discovered that Cash holds information that could put them away for a very long time. And they’re willing to do anything—and hurt anybody—to get it back. Giving it up means Cash must choose between the life of his father and the life of Olivia.
Having nearly overcome her wariness of bad boys, Olivia’s trust is shaken when this new threat arises. Now she finds that Cash is not only a danger to her heart, but his family has associations that are a danger to her life as well. She soon discovers that there are some situations in life where trust is a girl’s only option. And this is one of them. If she’s to live, she must trust Cash with her life. But to Olivia, that’s much, much easier than letting go and trusting him with her heart.
My Review:
I was so excited to get an ARC of this book! I loved Down to Me and with they way in ended I had to know what was going to happen. Up to Me is full of action, love, lust, secrets and lies. It took a crazy turn that I never saw coming. It has a little more of a serious vibe to it. There is a lot of stuff happening with the group who is trying to get information from Cash. Mostly they want to the books that prove his dad is innocent. These guys are dangerous and willing to do what it takes to get what they want. This includes hurting those Cash and Olivia love even murder! Cash and Olivia are happy together for the most part. As all new relationships people have to work through they insecurities and learn how to trust each other. Olivia is more in the loop about what is going on now. Which is good because it does involve her. Will everyone survive this? I do know that their lives will never be the same.
You get to learn more about both Cash and Olivia's families in Up to Me. I totally understand why she doesn't speak to her Mom anymore too. She is awful! She really shakes Olivia with some of her comments and makes her question what is right. It ends up landing Olivia in a very dangerous situation. Cash's Dad has to call in additional help. There is more going on then Cash realizes. The people he calls in are dangerous guys with questionable pasts. One of them is truly shocking. With this band of people they use what they have to keep the ones they love safe and try to fix some relationships that are on the edge.
Cash is still the super hot guy he was in Down to Me. There is still loads of hot steamy scenes played in at the perfect times. Honestly, what is hotter then your man being in a dangerous situation. You don't know what will happen from day to day. You might as well get hot and sweaty for a while! I am glad that through it all Olivia is able to look past her insecurities about bad boy Cash because he really does care for her. Marissa is also someone I didn't like in the fist book. To my surprise she changed a lot Up to Me. For good reason too. She needed something that would change her and obviously it worked. May have not been the best thing but, I'm not going to tell you sorry you have to read!
Up to Me was full of action, love, lies, and secrets. Book 3 promises to be awesome. The way Up to Me will leave you stunned. Seriously. The story took a turn that I never saw coming....like at all. I need book 3 like tomorrow!!

ARC review of Touch of Death by Kelly Hashway
Goodreads Summary:
Jodi Marshall isn't sure how she went from normal teenager to walking disaster. One minute she’s in her junior year of high school, spending time with her amazing boyfriend and her best friend. The next she’s being stalked by some guy no one seems to know.
After the stranger, Alex, reveals himself, Jodi learns he’s not a normal teenager and neither is she. With a kiss that kills and a touch that brings the dead back to life, Jodi discovers she’s part of a branch of necromancers born under the 13th sign of the zodiac, Ophiuchus. A branch of necromancers that are descendants of Medusa. A branch of necromancers with poisoned blood writhing in their veins.
Jodi’s deadly to the living and even more deadly to the deceased. She has to leave her old, normal life behind before she hurts the people she loves. As if that isn’t difficult enough, Jodi discovers she’s the chosen one who has to save the rest of her kind from perishing at the hands of Hades. If she can’t figure out how to control her power, history will repeat itself, and her race will become extinct.
My Review:
When I received this ARC I was worried it was going to be a lot like Curse by Jennifer Armentrout or Touch by Jus Accardo and I was soooo wrong! It was a lot different. So if you have that fear then don't worry about it. Touch of Death drew a lot from Greek mythology. We saw Hades and Medusa. The Ophi are descendants of Medusa who have kind of a curse and a gift running through their blood. Sadly Jodi learns about her gift in a very hard way. People around her start to die and Jodi quickly becomes suspicious. Especially with the mysterious stalker who seems to show up out of no where. After death and heartache Jodi is forced to make a decision Does she stay at home and risk hurting/killing those she loves or does she go to a special school to learn about her powers.
Eventually she does decide to go after an especially hard death. Alex who is helping Jodi figure this out only gives her bits and pieces of information she needs. I feel like the Ophi kept a lot of information from her that could have really helped her. I feel like less death would have happened had they stepped up and did it differently. Jodi quickly learns that she is special and can do things that normal Ophi can't. This leads to a power struggle in the Ophi world because Jodi is so new and doesn't really know how to control everything. Hades is upset with the Ophi for taking soles back from him and he doesn't want to let it continue. Jodi's powers are put to the test. People around her are lying and things are not what they seem. She has to make big decisions in her short amount of time in the Ophi world. Not everyone will survive.
Alex appears to be the "love interest". I had trouble with him sometimes because he was so secretive. Had he been more upfront and tried harder to talk to Jodi things would have been so different. His life was so different from hers though. So I understand why he had trouble with it. I hated the dead servants Ugh, I can imagine why Jodi had trouble with them. Necromancing dead servants...I just don't know. I didn't like it.
It will be really interesting to see what happens next because of Jodi's new role in the Ophi community. Her and Hades are going to have to figure out how to get along!

Wishlist Wednesday #29
Wishlist Wednesday is a weekly post put on by Dani at the Pen to Paper blog. Where you post a book you really really want to read or one that has been on your wishlist! If you've seen my to-read list on Goodreads then you know there are plenty that I could use. So I decided to use this feature every Wednesday.
Title: Splintered
Author: A.G. Howard
Release Date: January 1, 2013
Series Number: 1
Goodreads Summary:
This stunning debut captures the grotesque madness of a mystical under-land, as well as a girl’s pangs of first love and independence. Alyssa Gardner hears the whispers of bugs and flowers—precisely the affliction that landed her mother in a mental hospital years before. This family curse stretches back to her ancestor Alice Liddell, the real-life inspiration for Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Alyssa might be crazy, but she manages to keep it together. For now.
When her mother’s mental health takes a turn for the worse, Alyssa learns that what she thought was fiction is based in terrifying reality. The real Wonderland is a place far darker and more twisted than Lewis Carroll ever let on. There, Alyssa must pass a series of tests, including draining an ocean of Alice’s tears, waking the slumbering tea party, and subduing a vicious bandersnatch, to fix Alice’s mistakes and save her family. She must also decide whom to trust: Jeb, her gorgeous best friend and secret crush, or the sexy but suspicious Morpheus, her guide through Wonderland, who may have dark motives of his own.
My Thoughts:
I was drawn to this book simply because of the cover. I thought it looked really fun! I also love books like this that put a twist on stories I grew up with. I haven't read the original version of Alice and Wonderland but, have seen the movies haha. I can't even imagine what they could do to this kind of story. Anyway I have heard so many good things that I have to have it. Probably as an actual book rather then Kindle version because I like the cover so much!

Claudia Emerson has a good friend who shares the same first name and last name. That friend unfortunately dies in a tragic accident during homecoming dance. Claudia is distraught at the loss of her friend, but is even more disturbed by her dreams, which seem to take her to another place called Crossroads. Unknown to her, Crossroads is like a second heaven, a place between heaven and earth. It is where the souls of humans in comas or near death experiences may wander. Where, Claudia meets Michael, a nephilim, a half angel, half human, whom she often meets in her dreams. It turns out that this isn’t her first visit to Crossroads, which is an enigma for no human can ever travel there until Claudia.
Now the fallen and demons are after her, suspecting she must be special and it is up to Michael and the other nephilims to protect her. Her dream becomes a nightmare as more secrets are revealed, about who she really is, and the true identities of the people she loves most. Can Michael fight his growing feelings for Claudia and protect her as a guardian angel should?
My Review: Click here for my 5 star review.
Goodreads Summary:
As the alkins head back to Crossroads, Claudia leads her normal life; but not for long. Having a special soul, Claudia attracts danger, and she soon finds out who Gamma asked to watch over her. The Twelve, known as Divine Elders on Earth, are very much involved when they find out that Aliah, one of the God's first angels, escaped from the Abyss when the gates were opened by Aden. Needing Claudia's soul to escape the only place Aliah can reside-a place between Heaven and Earth-he sends his demons in search of all Claudia Emersons on Earth. Taking her soul will enable him to be released from Between and cross over to Crossroads, which would give him immense power. As more secrets are revealed Claudia learns about the venators-nephilim, demon hunters. Now two opposing forces must work together in order to save Claudia and humanity from the most dangerous angel ever created. But along the way, trust becomes a big issue. Will love be enough to keep Claudia and Michael together? Who will make the ultimate sacrifice? Who will betray them all?

Someone to Love by Addison Moore
Goodreads Summary:
What happens when two people who don’t believe in love, happen to fall madly into the most beautiful relationship they could ever imagine? A train wreck.
When twenty-year-old Kendall Jordan transfers clear across country to Garrison University, the last thing she’s looking for is a one-night stand. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what, gorgeous, Cruise Elton offers.
Kendall has long since come to realize that love is an illusion that never lasts, and Cruise couldn’t agree more—but something deep inside her wants him all for herself. So, Kendall devises a seat of the pants plan to “play the player” and proposes that Cruise tutor her in becoming a female version of himself, Garrison University’s own playboy.
Real feelings begin to emerge, and neither Kendall nor Cruise know how to classify them. Everything they once thought they knew is redefined as they discover, in one another, Someone to Love.
My Review:
I was so excited when I found out Addison Moore was going to do a romance! I have been a fan of Addison Moore and when a spicy book comes out by her I will read it. I am a fan of romance already and it was refreshing to read one about college age people (my age)! I loved the cover and after reading the book it fits perfectly. I the whole book in about a day and a half. I got caught up in the story. The preface is super hot! I was like O_O and started reading instantly. Kendall seems like a really decent person. She is sick of being a good girl and finds the perfect player to teach her new and naughty ways. She has been through a lot of family drama in her life. Her mom being divorced like 5 times and never really having a male figure in her life. I think that's why she does this. She is just starting at a new college and her living situation kind of falls through. She is invited to live with Cruise (super sexy) and he agrees to be her sexual mentor. All I can say is good choice! It takes about halfway through to get to the hot stuff. Which is a tad to long for me however its pretty hot when it did start. There is however a skeleton in the closet though. Her name is Blair and she is a horrible person. I hated her throughout the book. What she does to them is just awful. Especially Cruise. I wanted to just slap her! Anyway she tries to get between Cruise and Kendall. Does she succeed? You will have to read!
Cruise...what to say about him. Other then the obvious super hot, player, but smart all at the same time there isn't much. Deep down he was using all the casual sex as a way to try to avoid his heartache caused by Blair. Their relationship ended very messy and he didn't really recover. Kendall turns out to be kind of a light in the darkness for him. They compliment each other and Kendall works her way into his heart.
This was a wonderful book and I hope that Addison Moore continues to write in the adult romance kind of category. I will continue to buy them if she does!

Avow by Chelsea Fine
Goodreads Summary:
Scarlet remembers. Everything. Her past lives, Tristan, Gabriel, Nate: she remembers it all--including how to get to the Fountain of Youth. But time is running out.
Heather and Gabriel have been kidnapped by Raven, while the curse that has plagued Scarlet and Tristan for centuries has shifted, putting the star-crossed lovers in more danger than ever before. Water from the Fountain of Youth is the only thing that can save Scarlet and her loved ones. But the water comes at a price.
With lives--and hearts--at stake, Scarlet leads her friends on a dangerous journey to the Fountain of Youth. Where eternal life is possible, but death is certain.
My Review:
Avow is the last book in The Archers of Avalon series. I must say that this one was my favorite. The story was so well written I felt like I was a part of their world. We finally get a to see what happened in Scarlet's past lives and Tristans behavior makes so much more sense now. The depth to which he loves her is the kind that shifts the world. The kind that makes you super jealous! I loved seeing how things went when Scarlet was alive before. It also gives the information we need to know what the Fountain of Youth really is and why it is dangerous. The journey that they group takes the the Fountain is full of dangerous obstacles and bobby traps. In order to get the water from the fountain there has to be a sacrifice. Someone has to die for others to live. Scarlet takes it upon herself to give her life for Tristan after the curse is reversed. She can not let him die. The journey through the cave to the Fountain is a dangerous one. Nothing goes as planned. Not everyone survives. I cried when the particular character died. Not everything that happens in the cave is bad though. There is some serious lovin too! Will they get their happily ever after? Or will Raven wreck the Archers lives again?
One of my favorite parts of the story was Nate! His Indiana Jones outfit and use of the whip is awesome! His ability to make people feel calm or crack a smile in an intense situation makes him even more awesome. I love Nate. He is the perfect contrast to the Archers. He keeps everyone grounded. I feel like Heather was the female version of Nate. She kind of got the short stick here. Heather is poisoned and her "crazy" scenes are quite funny. They are both awesome characters.
Tristan and Scarlet are perfect. Their lives have kind of sucked because of the curse but, they are so in love. It is hard to describe it. Their love has transcended time and death. There is no better way to say it. Their past is rock and beautiful at the same time. I am glad they got that moment in the cave to finally be with each other. I was hoping they would get a moment. I am so glad their relationship won. I don't feel bad that Gabriel didn't truly get Scarlet's heart. You will see why when you read it. He is truly a good guy even with his interesting past.
The story ended perfectly. Even if it was different from how I thought it would end. I am glad I found this series on another blog. It is one of my favorites. I strongly suggest that you go out and buy the whole series ASAP!

Secrets 5 by H.M. Ward
Goodreads Summary:
The pounding in Anna's heart rings in her ears as she sits naked in the tub. The bath water sloshes around her bare hips, even though she tries to stand without making a sound. All this time, Anna thought someone was following her, but every time she turned around no one was there. The chills that climbed up her spine those few times seemed silly, but not now. Now, they seem horrific.
Cole is gone, Emma is at work, and Anna is completely alone. A shadow darkens the space under the door. The metallic clink of a hand touching the knob sends Anna out of her mind. Pulse pounding in her ears, Anna has no other option, but to open the bathroom door and come face to face with her stalker.
Volume 5 is the final book in the bestselling SECRETS series.
My Review:
Secrets 5 is the final book in this series. I am sad to see it end. I have really enjoyed this series. The previous book ended on a huge cliffhanger with a shadow looming outside Anna's bathroom. A situation that I thought could end badly ended quite funny. Damn animals! And poor Anna, having someone come help you while naked is just funny. I laughed when reading that part. However, after the situation calms down there is something serious that happens. It is a chain of events that leads Anna down a dangerous road. Someone is definitely stalking her. I refuse to say who it is but, the whole situation with that person made me so angry!! Ugh such a creeper! I don't want to say to much because its really easy to ruin the story. With all the stalker stuff going on Anna has to deal with the lawsuit as well. Sophia....ugh such a vindictive witch. She truly only thinks of herself and I didn't feel bad for her for a minute when things hit the fan. Through all of this Cole and Anna have to lean on each other to get through this. They truly realize how much they need each other and love each other.
Anna and Cole's relationship gets stronger during the last book. Cole realizes how much he needs Anna. Especially after he thinks he has lost her. That can really change a person. They way they work together to get back at Sophia is awesome!! The way they do it too is pretty sweet. They are a great couple. Is a proposal in the works??????? You will have to read to see!
I really enjoyed this series and it was a bitter sweet ending. I thought the series ended perfectly and I couldn't have done it better. This was a great series and I would highly recommend it!

Despite living in the safety of her father’s castle in the shadow world, Harper knows there is a storm brewing just beyond the dome. Priestess Winter will never rest until she gets the Order’s blue ring back, and Jackson won’t let her forget they now hold the key to Aerden’s future.
When an unexpected visitor from Peachville arrives at the castle, bleeding and near death, his story brings Harper to her knees. Someone she loves has been kidnapped and it’s time for her to make a choice. Stay in the safety of the domed city? Or go back to the place where it all began?
My Thoughts:
I have loved this series since book 1. I have been anxiously waiting for the sixth and final book of the series for a while and it finally got a release date! And BONUS, it's Friday!! I can't wait to see how Harper's story will end. I have my fingers crossed for a happy one :) I have reviews on the previous 5 books under book reviews if you are curious.

Tragic....
Due to the tragic events of Friday I will not be doing any other posts today. I can not even begin to imagine what the parents and family members are going through after the tragic shooting in Newton, Conneticut. These are the unimaginable things that we never think could ever happen. They are horrific nightmares that we hope will never happen. What do you do when they do happen? They were children...ages 5-7.... Truly innocent little kids were taken from the world way to soon. The country grieves with the families today. Please keep them in your prayers.

Up to Me by M. Leighton COVER REVEAL!!
Up to Me by M.Leighton
Release Date: January 6, 2013
Happily ever after doesn’t come easy.
My Thoughts
