Title: Someone Like You
Series: Someone to Love #2
Author: Addison Moore
Publisher: Skyscape
Publication Date: January 28, 2014

Summary:
A sexy, romantic read from the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Someone to Love. When coed Ally Monroe literally falls into the arms of a tattooed bad-boy one summer night, she can't seem to let go. Morgan Jordan is everything Ally doesn't want—he's a playboy from a blue collar background, and Ally's looking for upper-class stability. Though their relationship starts off as a one-night stand, once Ally learns Morgan is her best friend's brother, there's no escaping him . . . or the growing fire between them. As Ally and Morgan become closer, they confront bitter enemies, his sister's disapproval, and paths pulling them in different directions at summer's end. The second book in the bestselling Someone to Love series proves that in love and passion, sometimes two wrongs do make a right.

Except the underworld is nearly impossible to escape.

Jodi's one chance may rest in raising the human soul she killed when she drank Medusa's blood.

Ambushed and separated by an ancient evil, the sisters’ journey to find each other sends them far from the only home they’ve ever known. Goodreads Summary:
He left to travel the world for fame and glory, but only after spurning Gabby Ward and crushing her young heart. Now Hunter Markham has come back home to the sand and salty breeze of the North Carolina Outer Banks so he can open up Last Call, a beach bar nestled among the dunes of the Atlantic.

Gabby Ward is not happy that Hunter has returned. Bitter over his rebuff years before, she’s content to stay far away from him and his dangerously charming ways.

Gabby’s well-schemed plans to ignore Hunter go up in flames when he presents an offer to her that she simply can’t refuse, throwing them together in a common quest to each reach their goals. Working together day in and day out proves to be problematic for Gabby, who soon realizes that the feelings she had for him are still very much alive. Hunter struggles to reach through to Gabby’s cold heart, all while starting a new career away from his life as a top ranked, professional surfer.

What starts out as a mutual business arrangement soon turns into a passion that neither of them can continue to deny.

Hard choices lay ahead for both of them when Hunter is offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to return to the pro surfing tour.

Choices that could destroy what they have built or take them further than they ever had dared to hope.

Goodreads Summary
Of the various star systems that make up the Confederation, most lie thousands of light-years from First Earth-and out here, no one is free. The agencies that govern the Confederation are as corrupt as the crime bosses who patrol it, and power is held by anyone with enough greed and ruthlessness to claim it. That power is derived from one thing: metatech, the devices that allow people to travel great distances faster than the speed of light.

Jeth Seagrave and his crew of teenage mercenaries have survived in this world by stealing unsecured metatech, and they're damn good at it. Jeth doesn't care about the politics or the law; all he cares about is earning enough money to buy back his parents' ship, Avalon, from his crime-boss employer and getting himself and his sister, Lizzie, the heck out of Dodge. But when Jeth finds himself in possession of information that both the crime bosses and the government are willing to kill for, he is going to have to ask himself how far he'll go to get the freedom he's wanted for so long.

Avalon is the perfect fit for teens new to sci-fi as well as seasoned sci-fi readers looking for more books in the YA space-and a great match for fans of Joss Whedon's cult hit show Firefly.

ARC Review of Stipulation (Legal Affairs Vol 2) (18+)

Goodreads Summary:
I crossed a line with my boss and there’s no taking it back.

Not that I’d want to.

You see… Matt Connover? Well, he’s something else. Strong, magnetic, sexy as hell… but yeah, he’s still my boss.

What am I doing? Why is he so irresistible to me? Maybe it’s because I finally saw a different side to him. I saw, for a brief moment, that Matt is vulnerable, possibly damaged. Is it wrong that it makes him even sexier in my opinion?

I’m in deep and I don’t see any way out.

I don’t want to find a way out.

I want to find a way for both of us to stay involved in these Legal Affairs.

~ McKayla “Mac” Dawson

My Review:
Woohoo! Road trip time with your hotty boss! Anyone else interested? So, what do we learn in volume 2? Well, these two try to keep it all business but, it seems pretty impossible. After the deposition and Matt won of course it's time to party! This is where we get to see jealous possessive Matt. I'm not going to lie, I kinda love him! After another drunken attorney puts his paws on Mac, Matt goes a little caveman on him. This leads to lots of bedroom fun. When they get back to the office is when things get tricky. A co-worker, Cal, starts to show some interest in Mac. Can she separate her heart from "just sex"?  Is Matt really just in this for the sex or is he developing feelings?

I love these two together. Obviously they are electric in the bedroom. But, can they have a relationship? I'm not sure. I think Matt is holding on to something from his past. I think he has a secret that doesn't allow him to love or at least makes him think he can't. Yup, I think our Matty has a big bad secret and I am dying to know what it is!!

I love that Mac stood up for herself when Matt refused to cancel with Lorraine (who is just..yuck). It will be very interesting to see where things go from here. It will be hard to wait the 2 weeks!

Semblance of Innocence by Caye Collen (18+)

Goodreads Summary:
Elise Shumperk is a promising senior at Georgetown University, even if she's also lonely and unable to connect with people. Then, as she begins her final semester, a set of events lead her to become incapable of paying for school, or for anything else. Desperate, she reluctantly sells herself. Though not to just anyone, but to the most beautiful man she's ever seen—a man who just might become the next president of the United States. And their relationship quickly develops from simple heart-stopping sex to something approaching love.

Which is when her real problems begin.

My Review:
This is a unique story. Elise is a pretty quite girl. She feels like nobody ever truly "sees" her. That she is destined to be alone. Elise has a pretty rough week. After finding out her Father has disappeared and all of her accounts have been frozen. Her tuition check bounces, she can't buy anything, and can't pay her bills. How could she possibly get out of this? She literally has no money. That's when her room mate Kayla offers her an out. A way to make enough money to pay for everything. But, at what cost? Can Elise sell herself, her body, in order to survive? Can she live with what she is about to do? Could she possibly find love and finally be noticed?

Senator Roethe has the perfect wife. She is beautiful, has given him children, and has been there for him. But, their sexual relationship has fizzled. He contacts Sally to see if he can find what he craves. Elise is pretty shocked when he comes through the door for her first appointment. Their relationship gets hot and heavy fast and feelings are blooming. Their sexual encounters are hot to say the least but, can it last? I'm not sure how I feel about the Senator cheating on his wife. I felt kinda bad for her. Also for the record, I like Ian.

I have to point this out because I truly did like Deborah. I don't think she went about things the right way but, I give her credit for trying to help the Senator. Especially, when he was kind of crazy for Elise. He should have through about his family and his role in the community. He was selfish. Maybe if he had thought of that he would have been a little more worried about being discreet!

The end of this was very interesting. Left me with a few questions. I will have to red the next installment when it's ready!

BLOG TOUR!! All the Pretty Poses by M. Leighton!

Welcome to the All the Pretty Poses by M. Leighton blog tour! Don't forget the to check out the giveaway!

ABOUT ALL THE PRETTY POSES:
He never wanted to be a hero…until she needed him to be.

Strength…
It took Kennedy Moore years to put her life back together after Reese Spencer shattered it.  But she did.  Now, years later, strong and independent, she is in pursuit of a single dream—to dance with the Altman American Dance Theater.  Unfortunately, Kennedy is learning that a girl from nowhere with no money and no contacts might never be able to reach her goal.

That is, until Reese reappears, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that Kennedy just can’t refuse.  In exchange for working on his yacht for a few short weeks, he’ll get her an audition with the famous dance troupe.  All Kennedy has to do is keep her head down, work hard and resist Reese.  That sounds easy enough, right?

Weakness…
Reese doesn’t want to make it easy for Kennedy.  Seeing her again has started a fire in his blood—an unwelcome one.  It took him years to forget about her before, so this time he has a plan.  It’s simple:  Get Kennedy on his yacht, seduce her, get her out of his system, move on with his life.  That sounds easy enough, right?

But the one thing Reese didn’t plan for was Kennedy herself—a girl so strong yet so broken, she makes him want to rescue her, to take care of her.  To save her.  Even if he has to save her from himself.

My Review
I was so excited to get Harrison, better known as Reese, Spencer's story. He was so awesome in the first book. Strap yourselves in people, this one is EPIC! Reese is a rich business man with a very successful business. He is at one of his establishments when the girl that comes out to dance is someone he knows! Yes, Kennedy is very good at what she does. Dancing has always been something she has dreamed about. Maybe not this kind everyone has to start somewhere. Kennedy and Reese have a past....a very intense past. One full of love, sex, loss, and damage. Reese has a very enticing business offer for Kennedy. One that involves yacht's, dancing, and tropical retreats. Spending time in an enclosed smaller space with Reese isn't exactly something Kennedy wants to do especially since he's declared he will have her and she will be begging him for it. Will Kennedy make it through this trip? Will she be able to stay away from Reese? Will their pasts ruin them?

We still get to see Hemi and Sloane for a bit! I was so glad about this because I loved them. They are on the yacht for a bit on their way to Hawaii for a vacation. After they get off, Reese's client's climb aboard and the real work starts. There is so much tension between Reese and Kennedy. Sometimes good sometimes bad but, definitely explosive. Kennedy feels like she is just another notch on Reese's belt and doesn't know of she wants to re-open her Reese wounds. He doesn't know everything that happened to her after he left her. She also doesn't know his secrets. Are their secrets going to ruin everything?

The romance is hot, hot, hot. OMG! Reese just might be my favorite Spencer. He is a big sexy ball of man candy. He is so confident in himself. Well maybe cocky is the better word. Whichever, I would get on his boat anytime. I am glad that we got to read from both Reese and Kennedy's POV's. There was a lot going on in their heads. I mean these two are so perfect for each other its ridiculous. They have hot moments between them when they aren't even touching each other.

The twists and turns in this one blew my mind. Seriously, I was shocked. There are so many secrets and issues from their pasts that I never, ever saw coming. This one will leaving questioning everything and with your mind blown, so prepare yourselves! Best book I have read in a long time. Go get your copy!!

Question of the week
Who is your blogger BFF? Tell us a little bit about him or her? If not tell us why you need or don’t need a blogger BFF.
I would have to say that Tiff over at Escaping One Book @ a Time is my blogging BFF. She is from the North, don't want to be to specific :) I am also accustom to cold weather and such. She is very nice and willing to put up with my not knowing how to do things sometimes haha. We pretty much like the same genre in books.

I have received help from other bloggers who have been great if I have question. I would have to say there are a lot of posts from random blogs that have helped me too.

Also just an FYI, I might not be able to get back to people this week. My Grandma passed away on Wednesday and I will be out of town for the rest of the week for the funeral.

My Review:
This one stars Sam, Lexi's ex-best friend. The one who was with Trent when Lexi was over seas and the one who was in love with him. She is pretty crushed by Trent when he leaves to be with Lexi and now they are getting married. She has a hard time getting over this and went in down a spiral of bad behavior and partying. This lead to her mom kicking her out and her being homeless. She has no one to go to but, her friend who then helped her get a job. A job at a dance club. She makes good money and is dang good at it. She never intended on enjoying it as much as she did. That is until sexy Harrison books a private dance. She loves their private dances together. Enough so to break the rules. She lets him touch her. This leads to life changing events. Harrison has secrets. Secrets that lead to dangerous and life threatening events for Sam. Will they ever work things out? Will Sam be safe or will she always be in danger now?

Let me say that the romance in this one is insanely hot. I mean the private dances with Harrison alone are scorching. The biggest teasing you could imagine! I mean wow, I'm not sure how Harrison was able to hold back. Well...he let go a little but, nothing like I wanted him too! I don't want to give away to much because a lot of crazy plot twits that you will simply need to read about. She also does a pretty good job at the house driving him crazy with lust. It's a women truly using what she has to drive a man crazy. I love it!

This is probably my new favorite in this series. It was so awesome! I loved hearing about Sam's life and how she dealt with the Trent and Lexi situation. I highly recommend it! The twists I never saw coming. I was completely blind sided. Pick this one up people!

ARC Review of Something Wonderful by M. Clarke

Goodreads Summary:
Sometimes falling in love means letting go of the past…

Once again, she wonders if she will ever be enough for Max. Jeanella is forced to make a decision; stay and fight for her man or leave him for good.

Becky's unexpected friendship with Matthew continues to blossom, as they try to define the boundaries of their relationship; but a one-night stand threatens to ruin it all. As Matthew’s feelings for Becky grow, he’s torn between guilt and heartache over his deceased fiancée. Can Becky break through his wall and help him heal?

My Review:

"In the darkest times, when your trust is tested, love will conquer all. Something Wonderful gives us two stories of love, passion, and the ability to save someone who was once broken."

Something Wonderful starts right where Something Great left off. We get more then Jenna and Max's point of view in this one, we also get Mathew and Becky's. It starts off with quite a sad prologue! I cried during Mathew's. So sad. I can't imagine going through that. After Jenna's accident she seems a little different. More forward, living her life to the fullest if you will. Her and Max clearly love each other a lot. Max takes good care of her afterwards too. These two are more perfect for each other then they even realize. Things are going great until Jenna finds out about a secret that Max is keeping from her. Something that makes her question how much she can trust Max. Is Max and Jenna's relationship doomed? Can Jenna forgive and forget Max's past?

I actually liked Mathew and Becky's story more then I thought I would. I was so obsessed by Jenna and Max before but, now I am hoping Mathew and Becky get their own story too! There was so much tension between them. Some sexual and some just tension. Mathew had a hard time getting over Tessa and for good reason. He loved her and she was taken from him. Becky also lost a friend and Jenna's accident brings it back to the forefront. These two find comfort in each other but, also someone to talk to about everything. They are healing each other from terrible heartache and they don't even know it! These two are also a huge support system for Max and Jenna. Especially when things get a little messy.

The romance between all involved is...well...HOT! I mean Max and Jenna are all over each other. New couples always are. Jenna is still worried about being inexperienced compared to Max but, he doesn't seem to mind. When we get inside Max's head we get to see how he feels about Jenna and it's all love and romance. Mathew and Becky are a little more wild. They are at that, it's hot and I need it now stage. I can't decide which couple I like better. I think it is equal love for both!

I am really looking forward to the next book in the series. Especially, with what happened in the Epilogue! I mean wow, drop a bomb and end it. I am really curious to see how it is going to go from here!

Goodreads Summary:

Goodreads Summary:
Kira Walker has found the cure for RM, but the battle for the survival of humans and Partials is just beginning. Kira has left East Meadow in a desperate search for clues to who she is. That the Partials themselves hold the cure for RM in their blood cannot be a coincidence—it must be part of a larger plan, a plan that involves Kira, a plan that could save both races. Her companions are Afa Demoux, an unhinged drifter and former employee of ParaGen, and Samm and Heron, the Partials who betrayed her and saved her life, the only ones who know her secret. But can she trust them?

Meanwhile, back on Long Island, what's left of humanity is gearing up for war with the Partials, and Marcus knows his only hope is to delay them until Kira returns. But Kira's journey will take her deep into the overgrown wasteland of postapocalyptic America, and Kira and Marcus both will discover that their greatest enemy may be one they didn't even know existed.

The second installment in the pulse-pounding Partials saga is the story of the eleventh hour of humanity's time on Earth, a journey deep into places unknown to discover the means—and even more important, a reason—for our survival.

Goodreads Summary:
Pandora Ann Phillips' life is just normal-crazy

Her mom's a psychic, her dad's mom is a snob, her mom's parental units are "too down to earth" and her best friends are newlyweds. Okay, so her best friends being newlyweds isn't really abnormal, but living with them in a cramped two-bedroom apartment definitely is. Sex, sex, sex is totally on their minds. Actually it's not only on their minds, but it's on the kitchen table, couch, on top of the washer...well, you get the picture.

Being a celibate (not by choice, mind you) full-time college student, and an almost full-time barista, Pandora can't afford to lose anymore sleep. So, she seeks out a new place to lay her head. Enter three "drool worthy" male models that are looking for a fourth roommate and they want her...and won't take no for an answer.

Hilarity ensues as Pandora's life turns completely upside down, and she begins to wonder if it will ever be the same again!

Goodreads Summary:
You can’t get them out of your head. . . .

Callie lost her parents when the Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the ages of twenty and sixty. She and her little brother, Tyler, go on the run, living as squatters with their friend Michael and fighting off renegades who would kill them for a cookie.
Callie’s only hope is Prime Destinations, a disturbing place in Beverly Hills run by a mysterious figure known as the Old Man. He hires teens to rent their bodies to Enders—seniors who want to be young again. Callie, desperate for the money that will keep her, Tyler, and Michael alive, agrees to be a donor. But the neurochip they place in Callie’s head malfunctions and she wakes up in the life of her renter.
Callie soon discovers that her renter intends to do more than party—and that Prime Destinations’ plans are more evil than she could ever have imagined. . . .

Goodreads Summary:
Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she's always dreamed of.

That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.

As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.

If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.

Goodreads Summary:
Scientists are the new rock stars. The infection has been contained for nearly three months, and the world is celebrating. But humans are still dying. Rebekah Taylor has seen it firsthand. Her husband was killed right in front of her by the very creatures that humans were told they no longer had to fear.

Rebekah is determined to find out who is responsible for the death of her husband and the obvious cover-up. Fueled with revenge, she begins to find answers that lead to one frightening conclusion. The apocalypse might be over, but the battles are just beginning.

Goodreads Summery:
When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he's not alone. When the lift's doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade-a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.

Just like Thomas, the Gladers don't know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they've closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.

Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up-the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers.

Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.
